Product Engineer – Surface and Color Development
Full‑time position.
Responsibilities- Develop surface and color solutions for automotive interior and exterior trim components.
- Determine color, gloss and surface pattern issues on interior trim surfaces.
- Apply PEP applicable surface and color development tools and techniques such as DFMEA, DVP&R, appearance and approval submissions, CAD, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit appearance and approval documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product development.
- A minimum of 3 years automotive industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in wood technology, color development chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience with wood deco, wood surface treatments, stains, sealers and color development.
- Experience with automotive interior/exterior trim components.
- Bilingual in English and German or English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in DFMEA, DVP&R, appearance submission, CAD and corrective actions.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
