Vehicle Integration Engineer
This Vehicle Integration Engineer role is designed to ensure product functions are successfully achieved by integrated Sensors, Hardware, ECUs, cabling, and configuration as they interact in the context of the whole vehicle. Vehicle-level integration may be conducted either on benches or vehicles. The successful Vehicle Integration Engineer has a self-starting mentality, enjoys working hands-on on a variety of projects simultaneously, and understands how to achieve a high level of "customer" satisfaction from internal and external engineering teams.
• ADAS/AD system brings upon both bench level and vehicle level.
• Cooperate with the different R&D functions (SW, HW, Component Design, and Application).
• Familiar with CAN tools.
• Develop and debug test system configuration.
• Identify component integration issues, and drive them to resolution by working with cross-functional teams.
• Support vehicle instrumentation to set up to record CAN data, post-process, and analyze to resolve bugs and make performance improvements.
• Perform evaluation drives from a system integration perspective.
• Verify system functionality.
• Report defects on tested functions.
• Work on Ticket Analysis and identifying the problem's root cause.
• Define boundary conditions and test scenarios for testing.
• Lead and conduct pre-verification events.
• Plan and Perform Verification Testing Activities.
• Understand ADAS/AD System architecture.
• Understand CAN and Flexray communication, Vehicle diagnostic, Ethernet communication, Embedded Multicore OS.
• Comply with Vehicle system engineer corporate procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ years of vehicle-level integration experience in Autonomous Driving, or 3+ years of vehicle-level integration experience in one of the following areas:
Vehicle Testing, Diagnostics, and Automotive system functional tests.
• Basic working knowledge of Autonomous Driving technology.
• Comfortable leading weekly meetings with customer teams to communicate test results and describe data in technical depth.
• Experience working with remote Technicians and Engineers.
• Experience with NHTSA Levels 2-5 Autonomous Vehicles.
• Technical writing proficiency for test procedures, plans, and reports.
