Engineer Specialist – 15 (Validation Engineer)

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with customer engineers to identify all wiring harness design verification and product validation requirements (design specs/testing requirements/etc.).
• Review all test procedures and develop appropriate test plans as required.
• Participate in wiring harness design reviews.
• Facilitate all physical harness testing, including the acquisition of actual test parts and the coordination of quoting/payment process to non-Aptiv test labs (if necessary).
• Communicate all design and testing non-conformances to appropriate engineering team members.
• Provide periodic status updates to customer and Aptiv management on testing and design review completion.
• Obtain all documentation, data and reports from the required design reviews and test events. Prepare and formally present this information to the customer engineering team for final approval/signoff.

• Willing to travel to both Aptiv and customer testing and manufacturing sites in North America.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Open-minded personality to deal with a very dynamic customer.
• Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office products
• Automotive experience
• Understanding of statistical testing methodology
