Buyer
• Fill pipeline and execute projects to meet/exceed individual cost savings target
• Nominate qualified new suppliers to cross-functional team for review and consideration.
• Quote and source all responsible components to meet/exceed business case and timing requirements
• Monitor and track supplier performance and initiate actions to improve as appropriate
• Schedule and participate in VAVE workshops
• Monitor, track & manage critical issues, develop backups, & ensure execution of supplier improvement plans
• Create Management reports and presentations as requested
• Develop and maintain commodity strategies
• Act as market specialist for his/her commodities
• Make commercial agreements with suppliers
• Resolve commercial issues with suppliers
• Other tasks as assigned
Position Requirements
- • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Experience in working with a MRP System
• Experience with continuous interaction with suppliers to achieve functional goals
• Ability to manage internal customer relationships and provide support on a periodic basis
• Organized and logical approach to solving complex and multiple tasks
