Responsibilities
- Collect and understand system‑level thermal performance requirements
- Translate requirements into component‑level specifications
- Collaborate with system, thermal, and electrical teams
- Own 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for thermal components
- Apply DFMEA and DVP&R methodologies
- Coordinate with suppliers for design reviews and feasibility studies
- Define and track DV (Design Validation) and PV (Product Validation) test plans and address issues
- Support lab testing for components (e.g., vibration, thermal cycling, pressure tests)
- Address any test failures through Root Cause Analysis and design updates
- Interface with test engineers and use test reports to drive design improvements
- Ensure timely part release to meet vehicle build milestones
