Are you a precision-driven CAD expert who loves seeing your designs go from screen to street? We are seeking an experienced CAD Design Engineer specializing in Body Roof Ditch Moldings to support a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier.
In this role, you won't just sit behind a screen—you will own the design, development, packaging, and release of roof ditch molding components. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration, high quality, and flawless execution throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development: Lead the design of Body Roof Ditch Molding components specifically tailored for automotive vehicle programs.
3D & 2D CAD Creation: Generate and modify high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings utilizing CATIA V5 or Siemens NX
.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Body, Closures, Exterior Trim, Sealing Systems, Manufacturing, and Supplier Engineering teams to align on packaging, fit, finish, and manufacturability.
Design Optimization: Ensure all designs meet strict quality, cost, timing, and manufacturing constraints.
Validation & Support: Support prototype builds, participate in design reviews/feasibility studies, manage engineering changes, and assist with validation activities.
Documentation: Manage engineering releases and maintain strict compliance with industry and OEM engineering standards.
