Slate Auto is seeking a Design Release Engineer to lead the development of airbag system components and manage Tier‑1 suppliers for steering wheel, driver airbag, and passenger airbag. You will ensure safety specifications are met throughout the vehicle life cycle, reporting to the Lead – Restraints Systems Engineering manager.
The role requires a BS in mechanical engineering, 8+ years in design release for airbags or steering wheels, and experience with NHTSA/FMVSS, NCAP, and IIHS crash
