Location:

Troy, Michigan
Travel: 20‑30% domestic
Authorization to Work:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Experience with machine vision systems or optical sensors
• Extensive experience in factory automation or similar environments (no entry position)
• Hands‑on experience with PLC and/or robot programming
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing technical situations
• Clear communication skills and a structured working style
• Willingness to travel 20‑30%
• Valid U.S. driver’s license

As an Application Engineer
, you play a vital role in ensuring customer success and strengthening Senso Part’s technical reputation in the U.S. market.

• Evaluate customer applications and conduct feasibility studies using Senso Part vision systems and sensor technologies
• Develop and validate technical solutions for integration into PLC‑ and robot‑controlled environments
• Support customers during implementation and commissioning
• Troubleshoot applications both remotely and on‑site
• Deliver technical training and product demonstrations to customers and distributors
• Build trade show demo systems and support technical marketing initiatives
• Collaborate closely with our engineering team in Germany on complex technical topics
