As a member of the Global Purchasing Organization, you will assist in the development and implementation of Purchasing Strategies according to Goals and Objectives and Commodity Roadmaps defined by the Global Commodity Director in conjunction with the Regional Lead Buyer. Regional / Divisional commodity responsibility for sourcing, sourcing decisions, negotiations and managing the supply base for a segment or group of suppliers in respect with purchasing policy, internal code of Ethics, internal safety and environment rules.

- Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed
- Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards.
- Review and adhere to MML's health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies.
- Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects or non-compliance issues
- Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment
- In addition to the above, the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Qualifications:
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related discipline
- 3-5 years' progressive experience in Purchasing field preferably in an automotive / manufacturing environment.
- Previous commodity experience including but not limited to electronics, wire harnesses, resin, injection molding, fasteners, assemblies
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20% of the time
- Perform tasks and responsibilities detailed in Magna's IATF
16949 policies, procedures, and work instructions. - Complies with the designated ISO / 14001 responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with Magna's Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Must have demonstrated success in satisfying OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers in a complex, competitive automotive market. Functional experience in areas of strategic planning, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain…
