SUMMARYAs a Surveillance Operator at the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the tribe's assets by closely monitoring both gaming and non-gaming areas. Your responsibilities will include utilizing advanced surveillance technology to ensure the integrity of gaming operations, identify potential threats, and mitigate risks to the casino's assets. By maintaining a constant vigil over the casino floor and associated areas, you will contribute to the overall security and integrity of the tribal gaming enterprise.
ESSENTIALQUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in surveillance or related field is required.
- Pass minimum competency test.
- Utilize advanced casino surveillance equipment and software, including keyboards and recording devices and all related equipment needed to monitor, preserve or establish gaming-related activities through covert operations and surveillance.
- Familiarity with the operation of all casino departments and gaming areas.
- Familiarity with the rules, cheating methods, and game protection strategies for a comprehensive range of live casino games, encompassing Blackjack, Dice, Roulette, Baccarat, Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Crazy 4 Poker, Mississippi Stud Poker, Slots, Poker, Keno, and Bingo.
- Knowledge of Cage, Count Rooms, Slots, and other sensitive areas.
- Become familiar with gaming ordinances, regulations, compacts, approved Internal Control System, department policies and procedures, and have a working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Develop the ability to monitor and audit other departments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine random surveillance and special observations as approved by surveillance management.
- Conduct surveillance reviews and audits to confirm transactions or events.
- Document all observed incidents, suspicious activities, or security breaches in detailed and accurate manner.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for Casino/ Tribal Government management and Law Enforcement as needed.
- Extend Surveillance coverage and investigations to non-gaming areas such as hotel lobbies, restaurants, parking lots or other public spaces that are owned and operated by the Gun Lake Tribe.
- Provide support to law enforcement agencies in conducting investigations related to incidents occurring on or in the vicinity of Tribal properties.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and stay abreast of the latest advancements in surveillance technology and security practices.
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission professionalism, ethics and standards at all times.

- Ability to meet and communicate effectively with people and maintain favorable working relationships.
