Our client is a global, employee-owned manufacturing company with approximately $400 million in annual revenue and a strong track record of growth—both organically and through strategic acquisitions. As part of its ongoing expansion, the company is seeking a Plant Controller to support financial operations across its Wooster and Clyde, Ohio facilities. Based in Troy, this role will travel monthly to the Plant locations.

This critical position will report to the Corporate Controller and partner closely with plant leadership to drive financial performance, ensure compliance with reporting standards, and support strategic business decisions. It offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture within a well-established, growth-oriented organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, including an Accounting Manager and staff.
• Maintain general ledger and financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare and deliver timely monthly financial reports to both plant and corporate leadership.
• Monitor and report on capital project status; assist with financial justifications for major investments.
• Lead the preparation of annual plant budgets and standard overhead rates.
• Prepare 12-month rolling forecasts and 13-week cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee physical inventory planning and execution.
• Support year-end financial and tax audits.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, financial systems, and operational procedures.
• Lead and execute special projects involving complex accounting matters.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA and/or public audit experience strongly preferred.
• Strong command of monthly close processes and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial insights for senior leadership.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is essential; automotive industry background is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
