Contract Surety Underwriter

Great American Insurance Group is hiring a Contract Surety Underwriter for its Detroit office. This position includes in‑office work and travel within the assigned territory.

• Understand and analyze reports utilized in the underwriting processes, including financial statements, job schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports.
• Assess risk quality in compliance with the company’s best practices.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study: Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.

Experience: 3+ years of related experience is desired.
