Position: Real Estate Lending (Mortgage) Processor II

Overview of Responsibilities

Performs a broad range of real estate processing activities, including receiving, evaluating, and reviewing loan applications. Obtains and verifies necessary information, prepares documents for underwriting and closing review, and communicates loan status to all involved parties.

  • Review and Process Applications:
    Verifies loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Ensures all necessary documents (asset documentation, income verification, property valuation, and credit reports) are submitted.
  • Documentation Requirements:
    Reviews third‑party documents including title reports, appraisals, purchase agreements, condo documents, surveys, flood certifications, and homeowners insurance. Follows up with vendors and members to ensure documents are obtained and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance:
    Prepares member specific disclosures in compliance with federal laws and regulations, including Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (TRID). Maintains accurate records for Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) reporting and ensures all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination with Underwriting and Closing:
    Submits applications to underwriting and coordinates with consultants to ensure conditions are resolved. Schedules and coordinates closings with members, title companies, and realtor after receiving final approval.
  • Interdepartmental Communication and

    Collaboration:

    Serves as a point of contact for members, team members, and vendors throughout the loan process. Manages a pipeline of home equity and mortgage loans to ensure timely progression and a seamless member experience. Maintains accurate, up‑to‑date notes within loan files to ensure effective communication and keep members informed of their loan status throughout the process.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; and
    • Either:
      • 2 years of mortgage processing experience; or
      • 3 years of relevant real estate lending experience.
  • Federal Housing Administration (FHA) lending experience and Encompass experience preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
