RESRG Automotive is seeking you to join our team as a Senior Tax Analyst in our Troy, MI facility!
Your JobThe Senior Tax Analyst is a key member of the Tax function, partnering closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Operations, external advisors, and global business teams to support the company’s tax accounting, compliance, and reporting responsibilities. This role plays a critical part in managing the quarterly and annual tax provision process, supporting tax compliance activities, and driving process improvements as the company continues to grow.
WhatYou Will Do in Your Role
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including related footnote disclosures.
- Support preparation and review of U.S. federal and state income tax returns.
- Manage and review fixed asset reporting and depreciation.
- Prepare tax-related journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with sales/use tax and property tax compliance in coordination with external advisors.
- Support tax audits and respond to tax notices.
- Partner with non-U.S. teams to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP tax requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives across the tax function.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external consultants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3–5 years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax compliance.
- Solid experience with ASC 740.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working with external advisors and building processes from the ground up.
- CPA or Master’s in Taxation (MST).
- Experience with partnership taxation.
- Familiarity with U.S. international and foreign tax concepts.
- Experience with One Stream and/or One Source Exposure to process improvement or automation initiatives.
