Position OverviewThe Mortgage Loan Officer Leader is responsible for managing, mentoring, and driving the performance of a team of mortgage loan officers. This role combines leadership, sales strategy, compliance oversight, and customer relationship management to ensure the team meets production goals while delivering excellent client service.
1. Sales & Business Growth- Monitor pipeline activity and ensure consistent deal flow
- Identify new market opportunities and expand client base
- Guide team members through complex loan scenarios
- Ensure accurate and timely loan applications and documentation
- Review loan files for quality and completeness before submission
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction throughout the loan process
- Resolve escalated customer issues or concerns
- Leadership and team-building
- Sales and negotiation
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance
- Time management and organizational skills
- 2+ years of mortgage sales experience (Loan Officer or leadership experience preferred)
- Active NMLS license
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Solid understanding of mortgage products (FHA, VA, Conventional, etc.)
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
