Are you an experienced loan processor looking to join a collaborative lending team? We are seeking a Home Equity Loan Processor to support the full lifecycle of home equity loans, from application through closing. This role offers an opportunity to work in a customer-focused environment where teamwork, service excellence, and attention to detail are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Process home equity loans from application through closing.
- Manage a pipeline of approximately 25-30 loan files once fully trained.
- Review and verify borrower income documentation, including pay stubs and other supporting documents.
- Order appraisals when required.
- Order flood certifications.
- Gather and verify payoff information.
- Review mortgagee clauses and supporting loan documentation.
- Prepare complete loan files for underwriting review.
- Coordinate and arrange loan closings.
- Maintain consistent communication with borrowers throughout the lending process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient loan processing and pipeline management.
- Minimum 1-2 years of full-cycle Mortgage Processing or Home Equity Processing experience.
- Experience processing loans from application through closing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Comfortable maintaining frequent borrower contact throughout the loan process.
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a manual processing environment.
- Strong team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed.
- Direct or indirect lending experience
- Banking or credit union experience
- Experience with loan origination or servicing platforms such as:
- Symitar
- Encompass

This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
