EVS Custodian - Troy

The EVS Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a Medical Facility. This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas-including exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces-are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Pay rate: $16.00 per hour/ paid weekly

Shifts Available:

• Monday-Friday | 5:00 PM-11:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of clinical areas, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to established healthcare and infection-control protocols.
• Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
• Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas.

Experience:

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
• Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
