Job Description

Position Name: CT Technologist - X-Ray

Location: Pontiac, MI 48342

Start Date: ASAP

Employment Type: Full-time, Travel, Contract, Temporary

Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Accepting Local and Travel Candidates

Pay Rate: Local $1872 to Travel $2052 weekly

Unit: CT, X-Ray

Shift: 12 Hours;
Days, 7a - 7.30p or 8a - 8.30p

Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, may include weekends. No call

Position Requirements
  • CT Technologist experience:
    Recent/Current 2 years Required
  • X-Ray experience:
    Recent/Current
    - Required
  • Philips/Siemens equipment experience
    - Required
  • Prior travel or contract assignment experience Required
Education, License and Certification Requirements
  • ARRT
    - Required
  • BLS Certifications from AHA
    - Required
Position Summary

Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

Job

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
  • Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including but not limited to tomography scanner equipment.
  • In addition to conducting scans, prepares patients for these diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning patients to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
  • Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety in order to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self.
