Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition & Learning and Development

The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition & Learning & Development is responsible for leading all talent acquisition including community outreach and learning & development activities for Warren, OH, Spring Hill, TN, and Troy, MI locations.

Expected Salary range for this position will be $110,000 - $135,000

This position will be based in Troy, MI and report to the HR Director.

Position Summary
  • Responsible for full-life cycle recruiting for both salary and GM UAW hourly positions at all locations
  • Responsible for ensuring that every new hire has the best experience as they become our newest employees; from background checks, to relocation, to timely set-up in HR data systems, coordinating on new employee orientation scheduling to ensure productivity on day 1
  • Evaluate each candidate’s experience and skill set for abilities and qualifications for each position
  • Coordinate Hiring Manager debrief sessions and the selection/offer process.
  • Develop a feedback process for all internal candidates that supports a positive candidate experience
  • Ensure compliance in the Recruiting/Hiring process with laws and regulations, including EEO compliance
  • Able to make recommendations on approach to new markets as it relates to employer branding, community involvement, and targets for recruiting.
  • Build relationships with local universities and community colleges, trade schools, local high schools, and community organizations to create pipelines of talent for the organization
  • Establish the learning and development strategy for Ultium Cells
  • Partner with subject matter experts, project managers, and business leaders to analyze performance problems, design, develop, and deliver engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (instructor-led, online, webinar, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes
  • Evaluate training offerings and outcomes to provide recommendations to update, adapt, or retire training courses
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural organization
Required Education, Qualifications, And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Business, IR, HR, etc.)
  • 8+ years of experience in HR or related field
  • 6+ years recruiting experience, preferably doing non-agency full life cycle recruiting
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills in coaching, influencing, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient use of HR Systems and computer software application skills (i.e., Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Success Factors, etc.)
Preferred Education, Qualifications, And Experience
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial / Labor Relations or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of experience in HR or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • HR Certification (PHR/SPHR or the SHRM equivalent); training certification
  • Experience in automotive industry
