Human Resources Manager

North - Remote Michigan (Local to Troy, MI preferred)

The HR Manager serves as a strategic architect of our talent and culture. Reporting to the VP, HR, this is a high-impact role designed for a leader who moves beyond tactical execution to drive organizational effectiveness.

As a key member of the HRBP Functional Leadership Team, you will contribute to the overarching HRBP strategy for the company. Simultaneously, you will serve as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and his organization, providing executive-level consultation to ensure their teams are optimized, engaged, and aligned with our rapid growth trajectory.

Additionally, you will provide International Leadership by managing and mentoring our HR Manager in Ireland, bridging the gap between North American strategy and European operations to ensure a unified global culture within the CAOs organization.

We are looking for a leader who operates through the lens of the HRBP Value Delivery Framework. You will be expected to balance competing priorities and deliver impact across four critical dimensions:

  • Strategic Partner: Architecting human capital strategies that align the CAO’s organization with the broader Fin Tech business plan.

  • Operations Manager: Ensuring white-glove service delivery and administrative excellence across all functional areas.

  • Emergency Responder: Navigating high-stakes employee relations and critical business transitions with speed and high integrity.

  • Employee Mediator: Acting as a bridge between leadership goals and team member well-being to foster a culture of commitment.

What you'll do:
  • Executive HR Partnership: Serve as the primary HRBP to the CAO, helping to shape the organizational structure and talent strategy for their specific business units.

  • Functional Leadership: Collaborate with the HRBP Leadership Team to set departmental standards, share best practices, and drive enterprise-wide People Operations initiatives.

  • Global Management: Directly manage the Ireland-based HR Manager. You will provide guidance on complex EU labor relations while ensuring local practices remain consistent with our North culture and philosophy.

  • Talent & Succession Architecture: Partnering with our Learning and Development team to lead the design and implementation of performance management, leadership development, and succession planning for the CAO’s organization.

  • Change Catalyst: Design and lead comprehensive change management and communication plans for major organizational shifts within the CAO's remit.

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Maintain deep expertise in federal, state, and international regulatory changes (including Irish/EU labor laws) to ensure the company remains fully compliant and mitigates risk across all jurisdictions.

  • High-Stakes Investigations: Lead high-level fact-finding activities and prescribe remedies for complex legal or ethical concerns, ensuring all actions align with internal policies and external labor laws.

What we need from you:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a Senior Business Partner or Management capacity.

  • Executive Presence: Proven ability to influence C-suite leaders (CAO level) and navigate the complexities of a privately owned, high-growth environment.

  • Sector Expertise: Deep experience in Fin Tech, Payments, or Technology, particularly in supporting back-office or administrative corporate functions.

  • Leadership: A track record of successfully managing other HR professionals, particularly across different time zones or international borders.

How to stand out:
  • International Mastery: You have experience navigating the cultural and legal nuances of the Irish/UK labor market.

  • Strategic Execution: You have a history of moving the needle on workforce planning, organizational design, and high-level project management.

  • Technical Sophistication: Expert-level proficiency in Workday and utilizing HR data to drive business decisions.

  • Certifications: SPHR, GPHR, or SHRM-SCP designations.

What we offer:
  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Coverage

  • Flexible Paid Time Off

  • 40…
