We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Mortgage Recruiter to join our growing team in Troy, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding top mortgage talent — including Loan Officers (LOs), Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs), and Team Leads. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the mortgage industry, an extensive professional network, and a passion for connecting talented professionals with exciting career opportunities.
Responsibilities- Source, recruit, and hire qualified Loan Officers (LOs), Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs), and Team Leads
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of mortgage talent through networking, referrals, Linked In, social media, and other sourcing channels
- Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidates' experience, production history, and cultural fit
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with active and passive mortgage professionals
- Partner with branch managers and leadership to understand hiring needs and team growth goals
- Coordinate and facilitate the full recruitment lifecycle from initial outreach through offer acceptance and onboarding
- Attend industry events, mortgage conferences, and networking functions to promote the brand and attract top talent
- Track recruiting metrics and report on pipeline activity, conversion rates, and time-to-fill
- Stay current on mortgage industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive landscape
- Prior experience in mortgage recruiting, talent acquisition, or the mortgage lending industry strongly preferred
- Familiarity with mortgage roles including Loan Officers, Loan Officer Assistants, and Team Leads
- Strong professional network within the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Linked In Recruiter, ATS platforms, and CRM tools
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- Ability to work in person at our Troy, MI office
