Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Troy, MI – Hybrid

Position Type: Contract position

Job Description:

• Strong background in IT Risk and Security
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST, GLBA, SOX
• Hands-on experience with:
• Security controls
• Audit response
• Vulnerability remediation
• Security tool implementations
• Must have excellent communication skills and long project tenures (no short-term hops)

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
  Elicit, document, and analyze business/functional requirements
• Process Mapping & Gap Analysis:
  Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements aligned to compliance needs
• IT Risk & Security Projects:
  Support DLP, vulnerability remediation, tool deployments, and control enhancements
• Stakeholder Liaison:
  Bridge communication between business units, technology teams, and vendors
• Reporting & Dashboards:
  Assist with dashboards and KPIs using Power BI or Excel
• Testing & Validation:
  Support UAT, test cases, and post-deployment verification
• Documentation:
  Develop BRDs, process flows, and risk/control documentation

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field
• Experience:
  
  7+ years as a Business Analyst, ideally within Financial Services, IT Risk, or Security domains
• Frameworks:
  Familiarity with NIST, GLBA, SOX
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Microsoft Office, Visio, Power BI (preferred)
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong analytical, communication, and multi-tasking skills
