Job OverviewThe Document Workflow Engineer (DWE) will join Proctor Loan Protector’s Client Technology Team to support the creation, administration, and maintenance of multiple workflows supporting the organization. The DWE is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise document management and automation solutions, with a focus on Intelligent Document Processing. This role develops and maintains systems that capture, classify, extract, and route information from structured and unstructured documents into downstream business applications.
The DWE supports our global insurance and claim document business processes and works closely with business stakeholders and technical teammates to translate operational requirements into scalable document processing workflows and integrations.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain document classification models and data extraction rules.
- Implement and optimize Intelligent Document Processing technology, including OCR/ICR and workflow automation.
- Integrate document data into enterprise systems such as OnBase, RPA tools, and Business Process Management suites.
- Support low‑code/no‑code configuration tools and IDEs for IDP workflow design.
- Document technical requirements and support application testing and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and functional departments to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Assist project management with coordination and support of project and application releases.
- AI and Document Processing Technology
- Strong understanding of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) technology—classification, extraction, validation, workflow automation.
- Experience configuring and deploying document classification models and extraction rules.
- Familiarity with hybrid/agentic AI capabilities (AI‑native document capture, NLP, machine learning workflows).
- Integration and Automation
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) expertise.
- Understanding of integration patterns for data flow into enterprise systems (OnBase, RPA tools, Business Process Management suites).
- Familiarity with workflow automation, process monitoring, and exception handling.
- Experience supporting low‑code/no‑code configuration tools and IDEs for IDP design workflows.
- Comfortable scripting or using business process models, designers or similar tools.
- Knowledge of how to manage and maintain complex process design structures.
- Familiarity with data governance, role‑based access, and secure document handling.
- Documentation
- Experience creating technical documentation (business and functional requirements).
- Experience deconstructing technological solutions for documentation of current products and processes.
- Experience performing, analyzing, and documenting gap analysis.
- Assisting with application program testing, quality assurance, and verification of business specifications.
- Collaboration
- Ability to work closely with development, operational, and functional departments.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to act as liaison between business users and technical staff.

- Assist Project Management to coordinate and support project and application releases.
