Experience Level: Senior (8+ years of enterprise data management, ERP implementations, or data migration experience with 3–5+ years supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP)
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced ERP Data Readiness Architect / Lead – Oracle Fusion to lead the data readiness strategy for a large-scale Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation. This role is responsible for ensuring the organization's data is prepared for a successful migration by establishing governance, defining ownership, validating migration approaches, and aligning data activities across business and technical teams.
Rather than serving as the implementation partner, this individual will act as the organization's trusted advisor, partnering closely with business stakeholders, Oracle Fusion functional teams, technical teams, and the implementation partner to ensure data migration, reporting, integrations, and validation activities are properly planned and executed.
The ideal candidate combines strong Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP knowledge with expertise in data governance, ERP data migration, and cross-functional leadership, while confidently challenging assumptions and driving data readiness throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Data Readiness Strategy & Governance- Establish the overall data readiness architecture and governance model for the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation.
- Develop data readiness plans, milestones, and governance processes that support implementation success.
- Define data quality standards, governance policies, and stewardship responsibilities.
- Partner with business stakeholders to establish clear ownership for critical enterprise data.
- Identify data risks early and develop mitigation strategies before migration activities begin.
- Define source-to-target data traceability across legacy systems and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
- Ensure business ownership exists for all key data domains, including validation and signoff responsibilities.
- Facilitate workshops with business and functional teams to resolve ownership, mapping, and transformation questions.
- Establish governance around data mapping decisions and change control.
- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP data readiness and migration planning.
- Collaborate with Oracle Fusion functional and technical teams to ensure data structures support business processes.
- Validate that reporting, integrations, and downstream systems align with Oracle Fusion data requirements.
- Ensure readiness across key Oracle Fusion modules, including:
- Procurement
- Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Projects
- Order Management
- Human Capital Management (preferred)
- Review and challenge migration strategies, assumptions, and deliverables proposed by Deloitte or the implementation partner.
- Ensure migration activities include appropriate cleansing, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and business signoff.
- Review mock conversions, reconciliation results, and production readiness criteria.
- Help prioritize data remediation efforts before migration cycles begin.
- Ensure migration activities support overall business readiness and implementation timelines.
- Ensure reporting, analytics, integrations, and migration activities remain aligned throughout the implementation.
- Review integration and reporting assumptions to confirm they support future‑state business processes.
- Partner with integration teams to validate data flows between Oracle Fusion and enterprise applications.
- Confirm reconciliation and validation approaches provide confidence in migrated data accuracy.
