Duties & Responsibilities

The One Stream Lead serves as the functional owner and subject matter expert for the One Stream platform, leading daily administration, supporting end-users, and building reports and dashboards.

Responsibilities include assisting with system configurations, troubleshooting issues, conducting training, and partnering with finance and IT teams to optimize the platform for financial close, consolidation, planning, and reporting.

This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

System Administration
  • Lead the administration and governance of the One Stream platform, including metadata, data integrations, security profiles (working with Tri Mas IT), and workflows.
  • Establish standards and best practices for platform maintenance and governance.
User Support and Training
  • Act as the primary point of contact for user support, troubleshoot issues, and conduct training sessions related to Tri Mas’ implementation and on an ongoing basis to enhance user proficiency.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Lead the design and development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support financial and management reporting. Champion reporting standardization and identify opportunities to expand One Stream capabilities across the organization.
  • Completion of One Stream’s report writing course and maintaining One Stream “power user” knowledge through further One Stream course offerings.
  • Continuously enhance reporting functionality by leveraging advanced One Stream features and best practices.
Corporate Accounting and Consolidations
  • Guide the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process, including data validation, intercompany eliminations, ownership structures, foreign currency translation, and consolidation adjustments.
  • Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure One Stream metadata, account mappings, entity hierarchies, reporting structures, workflows, and close tasks support accurate consolidated financial reporting.
  • Champion the design, maintenance, and execution of consolidation controls, including data-load validations, certification workflows, exception reporting, and review procedures.
  • Monitor corporate close submission status, resolve system or data issues, and help business units meet close and reporting deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain consolidation-related reports and outputs used for internal management reporting, external reporting support, audit support, and executive-level analysis.
Application Management
  • Lead the design, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of One Stream applications, including business rules, cube views, and calculation scripts.
Collaboration
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and align system capabilities with business strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, IT, and external implementation partners.
Troubleshooting
  • Identify and resolve system issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure system stability.
Documentation
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Expertise with the One Stream platform is essential, including experience with metadata, workflows, reporting, data validations, security, and integrations. Familiarity with tools such as Excel is also beneficial.
  • Strong background in corporate performance management, corporate accounting, financial consolidations, reporting, FP&A, and U.S. GAAP accounting principles is required.
  • Strong understanding of consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, ownership structures, consolidation adjustments, close calendars, and financial statement reporting.
