About the roleWe are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Social Security Case Manager to support our clients through the disability benefits process. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, case management experience, and the ability to handle high-volume, deadline-driven work. Arabic or Chaldean language fluency is highly preferred due to client population needs.
Key responsibilities- Manage a caseload of 600+ Social Security disability cases in coordination with assigned attorneys
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and guidance
- Communicate professionally with SSA, DDS, clients, and medical providers
- Track and manage deadlines for various stages (Initial, Recon, ALJ, AC, USDC)
- Submit evidence and documentation through SSA’s ERE system and internal case management tools (Prevail, Assure)
- Conduct pre-hearing final development calls with clients and ensure complete case files for hearings
- Ensure briefs and required documents are submitted on time in partnership with attorneys
- Flag and follow up on missing medical records or outstanding documentation with records team
- Consistently discuss and track MSS (Medical Source Statements) across all relevant cases
- Collaborate closely with intake, records, and legal teams to resolve case issues proactively
- Support tracking and reporting of department-wide performance metrics
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date case notes and documentation in Prevail
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social work, legal studies, or related field preferred.
- At least one year of experience in case management, social services, or customer service.
- Prior experience with USDC cases is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.
- Attention to detail in preparing and reviewing medical documents.
Interpersonal Abilities:
- Empathy and patience when working with clients with disabilities.
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with clients, attorneys, and agency representatives.
Problem-Solving:
- Proactive in addressing case issues and resolving client concerns.
- Knowledge of Social Security disability processes or willingness to learn.
Compensation: $19-$25/hour
- Hybrid schedule available after training: (2-3 days a week in office, 2-3 days remote) with training in-office for 5 days a week for a minimum of 2-3 weeks
