Position Overview:Case Manager handles cases from post-reconsideration denial through hearing preparation and Appeals Council (if applicable).
This role supports two attorneys and focuses on advanced case development, hearing readiness, and attorney coordination. Caseload ranges from 800-1500.
Key Responsibilities:Advanced Case Management
- Prepare files for hearing stage
- Ensure complete medical development prior to hearing
- Track MSS (Medical Source Statements)
- Prepare hearing summaries and case packets
- Coordinate hearing logistics
- Ensure briefs and evidence are submitted timely
- Supports two attorneys
- Manages cases at hearing level only
- Lower volume than Initial Application Case Manager but more complex
- 2+ years SSA disability case management required
- Strong familiarity with hearing-level workflow
- Experience preparing files for ALJ hearings
- Excellent organization and time management
- Experience with MSS tracking
Compensation: $19-$25/hr
