Paralegal

Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support our client's estate planning, probate, and trust administration practice in Troy, Michigan. In this role, you will be an integral part of managing legal processes related to wealth transfers, estate and gift tax returns, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in estate planning and trust administration, along with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys with estate planning and wealth transfer strategies to meet client needs.

- Prepare and review legal documents related to probate and trust administration.

- Manage deadlines and filings for estate and gift tax returns.

- Conduct research to ensure compliance with current estate and probate laws.

- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for legal proceedings.

- Maintain accurate records and files for ongoing cases.

- Collaborate with attorneys to streamline workflows and improve efficiency within the practice.

- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth case management.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.

- Strong knowledge of probate procedures and estate administration processes.

- Proficiency in preparing estate and gift tax returns.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.

- Familiarity with legal research tools and resources.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
