Forklift Operator, General Labor, Material Handler
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our team on the 3rd shift. This role is crucial in preparing finished goods for outbound shipping, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our facility.
Responsibilities:- Help prepare finished goods for outbound shipping and load shipments into the correct container truck.
- Unload inbound shipments and locate materials into proper storage and warehouse areas.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and attach it to shipments as required to document and expedite order fulfillment.
- Move raw materials and finished parts to and from the production cell and into staging areas or warehouse for storage.
- Operate electric-powered lift trucks and maintain a safe driving record.
- Inspect lift trucks for compliance with safety and standard operating capabilities.
- Follow written start-up procedures for operating electric-powered lift trucks.
- Respond to requests to locate, count, and report physical inventory quantities.
- Operate a sitdown hilo for 90-95% of the shift.
- Load about 10-14 trucks a day.
- 2 years of recent sitdown forklift experience.
- Experience stocking the line with raw goods.
- 8 months (plus) of tenure in a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing facility.
Qualifications:
- Hilo license (nice to have).

The work environment varies with some parts being loud while the warehouse is quiet. You will be part of a team of 5 and operate primarily during the third shift, from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with occasional overtime. Note that the work environment may not be the cleanest.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
