Position: School to Work- Manufacturing
DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented School to Work - Manufacturing student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Troy, MI .

* This position will be on-site in Troy, MI at least 3 days per week.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* As a team member, supports and contributes to the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while contributing to teams.

* Assists with the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

* Contributes by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

* Assists with the development of manufacturing standards and working methods by using continuous improvement tools.

* Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments. Learns the knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

Education:

* Must be at least 16 years of age.

* Current Enrollment in college, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field highly preferred .

QUALIFICATIONS

* Request that successful candidate work a routine schedule up to 40 hours per week. There is room for flexibility when needed, but we request that a routine work week be maintained as much as possible.
