Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise a team of technicians to ensure upkeep and repair of all manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities- Supervise the equipment reliability of all manufacturing equipment.
- Serve as sponsor for IATF 16949/ISO QMS related requirements for machine maintenance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of our EHS Systems, ISO
14001/18001/45001. - Ensure compliance with OSHA and Constellium rules and regulations.
- Enforce compliance with the QMS and quality requirements.
- Supervise maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) of equipment for reliability.
- Communicate issues or opportunities from shift to other stakeholders such as manager, technicians, production supervisors.
- Determine the most cost‑effective means of performing repairs during breakdowns.
- Update production and scheduling with current machine status and evaluate potential machine problems that support production.
- Work with RCT to establish weekly plans and workflows.
- Verify all KPIs and turnover sheets are updated and communicated at end of shift.
- Conduct Flash Meetings sharing information and plans for the day with the team.
- Establish and implement training plans for direct reports.
- Provide daily task sheets to technicians with clear expectations.
- Address performance and behavior concerns through progressive discipline process.
- Verify and approve timecards of direct reports.
- All other duties assigned and necessary to perform the job.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and more than 5 years of maintenance leadership experience, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Current member of the maintenance team, preferred.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949, required.
- Strong analytical skills and technical abilities, required.
- Experience with various software controls such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, and robotics with the ability to read prints (electrical, GD&T, etc.), required.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with employees and can work under pressure on multiple issues or projects concurrently, required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team, required.
- Prior experience in automotive manufacturing and experience with aluminum fabrication and forming, preferred.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
