Salary: $25 – $32/Hourly

This role is for an experienced machine field wire technician. The field wire technician will be responsible for reading AutoCAD Electrical schematics to wire the machine. The technician will debug, run off, and improve our machine tool offerings. This position will serve as a critical partner ensuring that equipment meets or exceeds our customer requirements.

• Having a passing familiarity with field I/O modules, components, and cabling with an understanding of how they function and communicate.
• Responsible for wiring and building industrial control panels based on AutoCAD Electrical schematic and/or wire schedule.
• Performing point to point field wiring, having knowledge of standard wiring procedures which includes proper wire routing, stripping, crimping, etc.
• Experience with panel fabrication, component lay out, electrical enclosure modification, and accessory installation (transformers, AC units, etc.) is required to do this position.
• Installing ducting, raceway, and/or pipe for field wiring on machines and automation equipment.
• Having a passing familiarity with general pneumatic circuits/systems and material, or the willingness to learn.
• Support installation activities at Customer facilities as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.

• At least 2+ years of hands‑on electrical panel builder experience.
• Understand basic mathematics (arithmetic, multiplication, and division), the difference between standard and metric measuring systems (with the ability to use either) and be able to use fractions and/or decimal references.
• Experienced with basic power and hand tools.
• Mechanical assembly (as needed).
• Have organizational skills and ability to start and stop multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. and stand most of the day.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must have good verbal and written interpersonal skills.
• Occasional travel may be required.
  
  Keeps equipment and working area clean, orderly, and safe.
• Performs miscellaneous duties and participates in training as assigned by a supervisor.

• Hands on experience in assembly, setup, test, and debug of equipment.
• Ability to read AutoCAD Electrical schematics and machine blueprints.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with assembly and inspection equipment.
