Panel Wiring Technician (Wire Harness Panels)

Walled Lake, Michigan

Long-Term Contract Opportunity | Full-Time Hours

$22–$28 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Panel Wiring Technician with strong experience in wire harness panel assembly
. This role is hands-on and focused on building, assembling, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic panel systems used in complex machinery and equipment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5 years of electrical assembly experience
  • Strong experience with wire harness panels preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
Responsibilities
  • Assemble or modify electrical/electronic equipment, including machines and sub-assemblies with a focus on wire harness panels
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine material requirements and assembly instructions
  • Assemble electrical/electronic systems and install components using rivets, bolts, soldering, or micro-welding equipment
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical/electronic components to correct defects and ensure compliance with specifications
  • Drill or tap holes in equipment for mounting control units and routing wiring or instrumentation
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for performance and resistance; document results
  • Mark and tag components for inventory tracking and identification
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with leads and supervisors to plan work activities and resolve production issues
  • Provide guidance or explain assembly techniques to other team members as needed
