As an Operations Supervisor in our Battle Creek, MI facility, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, supervising personnel, and achieving daily production goals. The role requires agility and flexibility to meet business needs while supporting warehouse programs and processes essential to our plant operations.
Responsibilities- Complete safety training and consistently follow company safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Coordinate warehouse activities using SAP/DLX, AGV, and Veri Logic systems to ensure efficient operation at minimum cost while maintaining compliance with material‑handling procedures.
- Manage data related to workforce, tracking and tracing, streamline cost savings, and support production processes.
- Maintain daily communication with Logistics Technicians, Inventory Control, Materials Coordinators, and outside transportation personnel to establish strong cross‑departmental partnerships.
- Apply problem‑solving skills and root‑cause analysis to identify and mitigate sources of loss, focusing on cost reduction and increased efficiency.
- Lead the team to meet or exceed daily production and operational goals.
- High School Diploma (or GED); higher education preferred.
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of shipping and receiving concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and use a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Experience with SAP/DLX or other applicable inventory location systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, perform overtime as needed, and maintain a flexible schedule to meet job requirements.
$73,440 – $96,390
