Production Planning Specialist

Overview

Nordson Industrial Coating Solutions is a global leader in industrial coating solutions, looking for an experienced and highly motivated Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner will plan and maintain material levels, coordinate the introduction of new products, schedule production orders, and provide consumption and forecast analysis to optimize inventory levels and key delivery performance metrics.

• Analyze MRP reports and take appropriate action.
• Create and release production orders on a daily basis to achieve the production plan and customer requested delivery dates.
• Create purchase requisitions daily to achieve the production plan and meet customer requested delivery dates.
• Interact and provide feedback with engineering and production teams on upcoming work and potential issues due to material availability.
• Schedule and re‑schedule production orders to mitigate changes.
• Plan new product materials and schedules.
• Perform required functions within SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Modify safety stock as required.
• Analyze product lead‑time and lot size on a continuous basis.
• Level load work centers whenever possible and communicate under/over load conditions to shop floor supervisors and managers.
• Escalate material shortage issues to Supply Chain based on the current build schedule.
• Conduct consumption and forecast analysis.
• Manage and calculate KPI's.

Bachelor's degree with one year of work experience required; if no degree, 10 years of relevant work experience required. APICS Certification preferred.

• SAP experience required.
• Manufacturing work experience required.
• Analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
