Position Summary: The Jr. Paint Process Technician is responsible for verifying that all Paintwork cells are set‑up, that processes are running correctly, and for taking corrective action when needed. They assist in training other Jr. Paint Process Technicians and handle tasks such as mixing and maintaining paint and solvent supplies, creating setup sheets for new colors, monitoring daily production to ensure quality parts, and managing paint inventory.
Job Responsibilities- Verify that paint work cells are set‑up and processes are running correctly.
- Take corrective action when processes deviate from standards.
- Assist in training other Jr. Paint Process Technicians.
- Mix and maintain paint and solvent supplies.
- Create or obtain setup sheets for new paint colors.
- Monitor daily production to ensure quality parts.
- Manage and control inventory for paint and solvent.
- Label dirty solvent per OSHA standards and dispose of it before 90 days.
- Prepare paint schedules and upload to load deck.
- Operate paint equipment and verify equipment setup.
- Assist in production as needed, including pulling racks and staging for burn‑off.
- Communicate rack shortages and schedule changes to technology team.
- Complete line set at end of work week for Monday start‑up.
- High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and 360 technologies (e.g., UKG, Cornerstone).
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams of three or more.
- Manual dexterity, including hand and wrist movement.
- Capability to make color selections visually.
- Competence in operating computers and general office equipment.
Plant environment
: exposure to dust, oil, chemicals, and extreme noise.
Travel
: occasional travel to training events or to review manufacturing processes.
Hourly rate;
