Position DetailsWe currently have openings for Machine Operator II in our Troy, Ohio location. The starting pay for a Machine Operator is $20.80 plus $1.00 shift differential.
Shift
Schedule:
3rd shift – Sunday through Thursday – 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Responsibilities- Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment (e.g., booking press, drum unit, window RUVO, hand tools) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure quality standards by completing KQIs for both units and the wet system.
- Set up slabs as appropriate.
- Ensure inventory is adequate. Inform group leader or supervisory of shortages.
- Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
- Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
- Work safely and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent; ability to lift 30–50 lbs and work at a quick pace.
- 1–2 years of production experience or experience running machinery.
- Ability to read and write a limited number of words and recognize similarities among words and series of numbers.
- Ability to count and perform simple math operations (weight, temperature, quantity).
- Must be able to perform lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to meet production and quality standards.
- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a team.
