Test Technician - 1st shift + Rotating Weekends

This is a hands-on role that primarily involves setting up and performing tests, as part of either durability or safety teams. This is an entry-level position. Successful applicants will be able to learn quickly and sometimes work independently. This is a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking and communication. All the tasks are hands-on and requires a basic level of mechanical skills.

Technicians work on projects from start to finish which involves:

• Interpreting technical specifications
• Accurately preparing and setting up test articles and fixtures/vehicles (requires kneeling and heavy lifting)
• Evaluating the performance of test articles using measurements and sensors
• Documenting detailed test procedures
• Communicating with supervisors and customers in a clear and timely manner
• Organizing and prioritizing tasks to ensure all deadlines are met
• Extended hours may be required due to test schedules

Other responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring and maintaining test equipment
• Collaborating with other facilities to maintain consistent operating practices and introduce improvements throughout the company

Required Qualifications

• High attention to detail
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems independently
• Experience with basic hand and power tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications
• General understanding of automotive parts and mechanics
• Welding experience
• Experience with basic fabrication tools (band saw, drill press, etc.)
• General understanding of fasteners (metric/standard)
