Are you a driven, creative professional with a passion for marketing and events? Doeren Mayhew is seeking a Marketing & Events Associate to join our growing team in Troy, MI. In this role, you’ll work closely with the local Marketing Manager to bring both regional and national initiatives to life by supporting campaigns, coordinating events, and elevating the firm’s presence in the market.
You’ll also gain valuable hands‑on experience working alongside members of our national marketing team and engaging with firm leaders across multiple practice areas. Responsibilities External Events & Sponsor ships- Coordinate and manage all aspects of regional and national external events from concept to completion, including venue research and selection, business development opportunities, registration management, digital marketing support, budget alignment and on‑site coordination as needed.
- Support post‑event follow‑up, ensuring all business development activities are properly coordinated, documented and recorded in the appropriate systems.
- Manage relationships with event vendors, community partners and sponsorship organizations to ensure seamless execution and strong brand representation.
- Execute sponsorship opportunities, ensuring alignment with the firm’s marketing goals and brand standards.
- Lead the planning, development and execution of internal events, including venue selection, menu planning, décor, employee engagement activities and overall event experience.
- Oversee and execute regional DM Difference community outreach events, ensuring programming is diverse, mission‑aligned and reflective of client and community needs.
- Support all aspects of in‑house networking events, ensuring a polished and engaging experience for attendees.
- Lead the marketing onboarding process for new firm team members, ensuring a smooth introduction to the firm’s brand, tools, processes and resources.
- Manage the region’s proposal process, including tailoring content for targeted clients, tracking opportunities in the CRM and coordinating follow‑up.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the firm’s service offerings, industry expertise and differentiators to support the creation of marketing materials such as presentations, pitchbooks and other deliverables.
- Assists administration of the DM Store including merchandise selection, order tracking and distribution.
- Complete projects as needed to support strategic firm‑wide growth and geo‑specific marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or another related field.
- 2‑3 years of related event experience required; professional services sector experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication competencies, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Detail‑oriented, well‑organized and able to set priorities under pressure.
- Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Hub Spot is a plus.
- Ability to travel, when needed.
