The Marketing and Operations Coordinator plays a key role in advancing NLEA’s mission and organizational priorities by coordinating NLEA's day-to-day marketing and communications, planning and execution of organizational events and meetings, and providing strategic support to NLEA leadership. Working closely with NLEA leadership and staff, the Marketing and Operations Coordinator ensures details are managed effectively, communications are timely and consistent, and organizational initiatives move forward smoothly.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and holds themselves to a high standard of quality, accuracy, and professionalism, while paying attention to the details that make a difference.
- Develop and execute pre- and post-event marketing and promotional content across digital, print, and social media platforms, including save-the-dates, invitations, event pages, and countdown/reminder campaigns.
- Create and schedule consistent engaging content (written and graphic) for newsletters, email campaigns, press releases, and social media, with an emphasis on raising awareness of NLEA impact and driving event attendance.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure timely and relevant information, including event listings and registration pages.
- Track analytics and compile reports on audience reach and engagement, including event marketing performance.
- Coordinate logistics for all NLEA events including but not limited to NLEA events, conferences, and donor appreciation gatherings.
- Manage event timelines, budget, vendor relations, invitations, and guest communications.
- Support on-site execution including setup, registration, and attendee experience.
- Assist in developing sponsorship materials and post-event evaluations.
- Plan and coordinate staff events, team-building activities, organizational (staff and board) meetings, and other internal activities that contribute to a positive and connected workplace culture.
- Anticipate logistical needs and proactively address details to ensure meetings and events run smoothly.
- Track and support reporting on organizational metrics and impacts across program areas using Salesforce and other tools to monitor quarterly and annual implementation progress of NLEA strategic plan
- Identify and support opportunities to improve systems, processes, and organizational efficiency
- Work closely with NLEA leadership to advance organizational priorities and initiatives.

- A clear, courteous, and professional communication style when working with various audiences;

- Exceptional attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines, and working well under pressure while maintaining a customer-service oriented attitude;
- Strong, proactive problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to troubleshooting logistical issues and technical difficulties;
- Strong interpersonal skills that embody collaboration and a team-oriented approach;
- Willingness to think creatively, ask questions, and share ideas;
- Experience working with graphic design tools like Canva, social media, and websites is preferred;
- Experience working with Asana and Salesforce is preferred;
- Strong writing and/or copyediting ability is preferred;
