Collaborative Health Clinical Faculty (part-time)
This part‑time visiting professor role focuses on delivering clinical instruction to nursing students and supporting the campus community. The position offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, mentorship, and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities- Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
- Plan clinical experiences, supervise, and evaluate students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
- Make oneself available to staff at agencies.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on performance based on course objectives.
- Provide remediation as required.
- Orient and maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student knowledge, skill competency, and learning needs.
- Correct and return homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and the College.
- May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator.
- Keep course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- Work with college administration, staff, and other faculty to improve overall operation and student satisfaction.
- Participate in implementation of the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and departmental/campus policies.
- Serve as a professional role model for faculty, staff, and students in customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, dress, attendance, and general professionalism.
- Utilize relationship skills in situations requiring group problem solving, consensus building, and win‑win negotiation.
- Comply with all applicable regulatory rules and standards.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean; a course coordinator provides direct oversight.
- Handle related duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- 2+ years of recent nursing experience in the past five years (required).
- Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and prudent judgment.
- Professional Nurse licensure required in the state of practice.
Pay ranges from $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience. Adjustments may be made based on job‑related factors such as course type, experience, licensure, geographic location, market, and departmental budgets.
