About the Unit
The Nursing Resource Pool (NRP) consists of ICU, progressive‑care, and medical‑surgical nurses, nursing assistants, and patient observation aides (patient sitters). NRP staff are deployed throughout the hospital to assist areas that are short‑staffed, providing a dynamic learning environment for staff in training and caring for a wide variety of patients.
Scope of Work- Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services, and document services appropriately.
- Serve as an observer for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
- Document care in the electronic medical record.
- Full week of corporate orientation (Monday‑Friday, 7:00a.m.–3:30p.m. each day). Attendance of the entire week is required.
- Shift: Night. Weekly scheduled hours: 7p.m. to 7:30a.m. (variable weekends).
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
- Current CNA certification preferred.
