About The Unit

2 North is a 22‑bed short‑stay medical‑surgical unit that specializes in women's health surgeries, plastic surgery, urologic surgery, and general surgery. The unit also cares for a mix of inpatient and observation medical patients. The unit is fast‑paced and values teamwork and quality care. Ideal new members possess strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision‑making skills.

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine, and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Transport patients safely via wheelchair or stretcher and dispatch services, documenting all services.
• Provide observational services for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring.
• Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Document care in the electronic medical record.

Requires a full week of corporate orientation Monday‑Friday, 7 am–3:30 pm. Attendance for the entire week is required consecutively.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.
