Job Type: Full-Time 0.8 FTE or 64 hours/pp

Schedule: 8-hour Day Shifts w/varying start times between 5:15a and 1:30p

On Call: 4 x Call Shifts/6 week schedule Frequently rotates to Pre‑op. PACU and Post‑op Rotating Holidays

PACU RN at UP Health System – Marquette joins a 12‑OR team providing safe, vigilant post‑operative care and ensuring smooth, secure patient transitions after anesthesia.

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Applicants must have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year
