Job Description

As a Quality Engineer at our Tier 1 Automotive company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful launch of high-quality products with our suppliers and customers. You will be responsible for coordinating quality-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, from the offer phase to product release.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact in the project team for all quality assurance (QA) requirements from the offer phase to release, ensuring grade 1 quality standards.
  • Plan and execute quality-related activities in alignment with project management objectives.
  • Conduct supplier audits, process inspections, and define quality targets with suppliers.
  • Establish and manage supplier agreements to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Create work and test instructions during the project phase.
  • Engage in quality planning discussions with customers.
  • Handle and resolve complaints from customers and suppliers.
  • Manage initial samples from suppliers to customers.
  • Prepare tolerance samples as required.
  • Develop inspection plans for prototype, pilot production, series, and laboratory stages.
  • Procure original samples from customers for analysis and testing.
  • Conduct certification and capability studies to validate quality processes.
  • Facilitate internal process acceptance and provide support to suppliers.
  • Investigate and resolve quality problems by identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Utilize the International Material Data System (IMDS) for material compliance and reporting.
  • Plan test equipment requirements, including design, performance specifications, and approvals.
  • Support and qualify subsidiaries in relation to serial projects.
  • Exercise the authority to stop production when necessary to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Qualifications:

    Professional
    • High School diploma/GED required. A university degree in Quality or Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technician, or related field is preferred.
    • Experience in the automotive industry is essential.
    • Experience with automotive supplier audits is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field, including leadership experience.
