Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business- and quality-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and effective communication between customers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with headquarters (HQ) and cross‑functional groups to monitor and resolve operational issues, provide regular updates on program status, customer feedback, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze customer requirements through detailed discussions and documentation, and provide tailored solutions to address business, engineering, and quality challenges.
- Collaborate with customer support, quality, and engineering teams to resolve technical and operational issues, and to develop effective solutions.
- Manage mass production quality control and issue management, evaluating status, supporting quality targets, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct third‑party inspection and vendor management, including surveying local service providers, assessing automation levels, and performing on‑site inspections.
- Arrange and facilitate meetings for design, technology promotion, process improvement, and business discussions, ensuring stakeholder alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Supervise and coordinate local staff for executive meetings and daily operations, including customs clearance, shipment tracking, and sample or seed‑stock orders.
- Perform monthly closing activities, including customer quality reporting, open‑issue management, and performance tracking, while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
- Define test strategy for automotive products, identify failures, root causes, and recommend fixes; create scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency; write validation reports and compliance documentation.
- Identify system requirements, generate test cases, and collaborate with engineering teams to develop and implement solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in quality, engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a minimum of 5 years managing complex projects and leading cross‑functional teams.
- Proven history of managing programs across the full product lifecycle, including award, development, launch, and series production, with a focus on timing, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex quality topics to diverse audiences.
- Solid understanding of applicable quality systems and regulations (ISO 17025, IATF 16949, Automotive SPICE, GMW 3197, VDA 6.3).
- Effective program management skills with the ability to coordinate actions across functions and sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and quality management tools.
- Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information securely.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Business insight and the ability to drive growth initiatives.
- Understanding of supplier quality management systems (SQMS) and automotive standards.
- English (preferred). Bilingual in Korean and English.
