As the Quality Assurance Manager at our Detroit facility, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead quality initiatives in a growing, entrepreneurial environment. You will develop and enforce quality standards, lead a team of technicians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold the company’s commitment to excellence.
Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining food safety protocols, managing audits, and driving continuous improvement across the production process.
- Manage and develop a team of quality technicians and batchers, providing training and evaluations.
- Ensure raw materials, process parameters, sanitation, and finished products meet all quality and regulatory standards.
- Lead and audit quality programs, maintaining proper documentation and compliance.
- Oversee HACCP and Food Safety plan implementation and monitoring.
- Support customer inquiries and manage non-compliance issues, providing timely feedback.
- Lead preparation and response for quality audits and inspections.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems.
- Knowledge of FDA and local regulatory requirements.
- HACCP certification and PCQI/SQF Practitioner credentials are a plus.
