General FunctionThe Store Manager is a business owner who leads the Lens Crafters location, drives revenue growth, maximizes profitability, and maintains high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Drive quality and improvement to meet or exceed all key performance indicators.
- Ensure Lens Crafters is known as the leading optical provider within the host community and market.
- Apply deep retail knowledge to achieve superior sales and business results.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen centered on continual improvement and execution of best practices for growth.
- Propose and execute business plans to maximize sales and profit, identify root causes of issues, and address recovery opportunities.
- Lead the team through strong customer relationship skills, delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage store profits and expenses.
- Set clear expectations, train, coach, and develop the team for excellence and accountability.
- Recruit high‑caliber talent, build a succession pipeline.
- Follow workforce management guidelines to staff appropriately.
- Execute visual directives to maintain a consistent company message and high standards.
- Lead Optometrist co‑planning business meetings.
- Leverage insurance plans with local companies and attend local health fairs.
- Ensure compliance with company and host policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties including cash, payroll, inventory management, and technical applications.
- Implement and maintain all company‑approved safety programs.
- Work weekends and evenings to meet business needs and store goals.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 4+ years of management or supervisory experience.
- Track record of delivering results and positive growth.
- Excellent business and financial acumen, including operational analysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail operations, processes and policies.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
- Strong command of the English language for all correspondence.
- College degree or equivalent.
- Previous leadership experience in retail and customer service.
- Knowledge of basic optics.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non‑licensed states.
Pay Range: 44.85
