Position: At Your Service Center Associate, Somerset Collection - Part Time

Job Overview

As an At Your Service Center Colleague, you are at the heart of delivering a seamless and personalized shopping experience. You will support all At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks while upholding Macy’s service standards. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and a customer‑first mindset.

You will thrive in a fast‑paced environment with flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

How our At Your Service Colleagues spend their day

  • Start the day with a positive example – greet teammates, keep the area clean, and review sales goals.
  • Lead through action – welcome customers with genuine hospitality and engage in friendly, personal conversations.
  • Assist customers in all aspects of total store fulfillment, including BOPS, and ensure the pickup area is organized for a friction‑free experience.
  • Maintain a shoppable space – recover merchandise, keep pickup and return areas clean, and ensure timely completion of BOPS orders.
  • Finish strong – share Loyalty program benefits, provide a sincere thank‑you, and use the customer’s name.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Continuously strive for excellence – improve every day, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other.

Full‑time colleagues typically work 30+ hours per week, and part‑time colleagues 12–24 hours per week, with all schedules including weekend shifts. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability.

Who You Are

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance.
  • Can understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Can read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Makes prompt, sound decisions in real time to address customer needs and resolve issues.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • Can meet daily sales goal challenges and acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Enjoys meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful, eager to start new ventures, adaptable to changing priorities, and capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Comfortable handling electronic devices.

Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform

  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching above eye level.
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment, cash register, and ability to process register transactions.
