Job OverviewAs a Merchandising Colleague – also known as a Front of House Colleague – you play a critical role in delivering a seamless, inspiring in‑store experience. You will execute merchandise movement and placement strategies, enhance the visual appeal of the sales floor, maintain well‑organized and shoppable displays, and ensure that pricing and promotional signage is accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean, organized, and prepared sales floor each day.
- Update mannequins, reset floor layouts, and align displays with company directives.
- Offer a warm welcome to customers, create friendly conversations, and listen to their needs.
- Provide expert guidance on products and help customers make informed choices.
- Replenish merchandise, recover the floor and fitting rooms, and support merchandise moves.
- Share the loyalty program benefits and ensure customers finish their experience with a sincere thank‑you.
- Collaborate with teammates and cross‑department colleagues to support sales goals and a culture of hospitality.
- Use point‑of‑sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions and enhance the shopping experience.
- Meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety procedures in English.
- Capability to build connections with customers and contribute to sales initiatives.
- Knowledge of store products and the ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
- Ability to open credit accounts and share loyalty benefits with new customers.
- Proficiency in using point‑of‑sale technology and other digital tools.
- Collaborative mindset, working seamlessly with colleagues at all levels.
Physical Requirements
- Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level.
- Requires clear, color, depth, and focus vision.
- Frequent use of computers, handheld equipment, and cash registers to process transactions.
Full‑time colleagues are typically scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, while part‑time colleagues are scheduled 12–24 hours per week. All schedules include weekend shifts.
